    Reports about Meghan Markle’s treatment of household staff have resurfaced, with Page Six describing her alleged behavior during interviews for domestic positions in the United Kingdom as “extremely rude.”

    Report alleges unusual interview process

    According to sources cited by Page Six, applicants interviewing for housekeeping or maid positions were allegedly instructed not to speak to Markle or make eye contact with her. They reportedly handed over their résumés and then stood to one side of the room while Markle reviewed the documents.

    The sources claimed that Markle did not ask the applicants questions or engage them in a conversation. Instead, she allegedly took time to read each résumé, looked the applicant up and down, and then told the person they could leave.

    Could reports affect future household staffing?

    Sarah Jones of Page Six suggested that the accounts could make household staff less willing to interview for positions with Markle and Prince Harry, particularly now that the couple are reportedly spending more time in the United Kingdom.

    The latest report adds to previous claims from people who have worked closely with Markle during her business ventures. However, the allegations come from unnamed sources and have not been independently verified.

    Former Portsmouth goalkeeper Alan Knight has died aged 65 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

    Knight spent 22 years at Fratton Park, making 801 appearances for Portsmouth between 1978 and 2000. That remains the record number of appearances by a goalkeeper for a single English club.

    Known affectionately by Portsmouth supporters as “The Legend”, Knight continued to serve the club after retiring as a coach and ambassador.

    Portsmouth pay tribute to Alan Knight

    In a tribute to their former goalkeeper, Portsmouth said:

    “The word legend is often overused in football, but the fact that Alan was still known as The Legend at Pompey more than 20 years after hanging up his gloves speaks volumes.”

    He will be sadly missed by the Fratton faithful, team-mates and all of us at the club who knew and loved him.”

    “Our thoughts are with Alan’s wife Heather, his daughters Jade and Rebekah and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time. Rest in peace, The Legend”.

    Portsmouth captain Marlon Pack also paid tribute to Knight on social media:

    “RIP Knightsie. A true club legend who bled blue. A figure who has done so much for this football club and the wider community over so many years”.

    Paul Aron Set for Another FP1 Run With Alpine at Monza

    Paul Aron to drive for Alpine in Italian Grand Prix FP1 at Monza

    Alpine reserve driver Paul Aron will return to the Formula 1 track for another Free Practice 1 session at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix.

    The Estonian has already taken part in three practice sessions during the 2026 season. His first two appearances, in Barcelona and Austria, came with Audi under an agreement between the two teams. Aron then drove for Alpine in Hungary and will now pilot the A526 again in Monza, replacing Pierre Gasly for Friday’s opening practice session.

    Aron to support Alpine simulator work

    Aron faces a busy weekend at the Italian Grand Prix. After completing his FP1 run, he will return to Alpine’s Enstone base on Friday evening for simulator work, helping the team fine-tune the car’s set-up ahead of the rest of the weekend.

    “I am looking forward to driving again in Free Practice 1 with the team this weekend,” said Aron. “I am grateful to the team for giving me the opportunity to get back behind the wheel so soon.

    “I was very pleased with my session in Budapest, and I hope to build on it this time around, particularly helping the team compare our latest upgrade package which I have driven in the simulator.

    “It’s going to be a busy weekend for me as I’ll be on the simulator at Enstone on Friday night to further help the team fine tune the set-up before returning to the track on Saturday. I’ll give it my all to hopefully assist the team in having a successful weekend.”

    Both Gasly and Franco Colapinto will also run Alpine’s latest upgrade package at Monza. The package was first introduced on Gasly’s car at the previous race in Zandvoort.

    Fernandez-Pardo was a long-term Newcastle target

    Fernandez-Pardo was omitted from Lille’s squad for their 2-2 draw with Paris St-Germain last week and was instructed to train away from the first-team group while his future was resolved.

    The forward had been a long-standing Newcastle target, dating back to former head coach Eddie Howe’s tenure. His age also matches the profile the club have been pursuing in the transfer market.

    Among players aged 21 and under in Europe’s five major leagues last season, Fernandez-Pardo ranked second for big chances with 21, fifth for touches in the opposition box with 184, and fifth for shots on target with 30. He ranked seventh for combined goals and assists, with 13.

    His versatility across the frontline further increased his appeal as Jaissle sought to strengthen Newcastle’s attacking options.

    First broadcast in 1978, the programme showcased the best of winter sports action. Its most recent presenting team included Ed Leigh and Chemmy Alcott.

    “Changing audience behaviours and the tough financial decisions needed to meet savings requirements mean BBC Sport must continually review how it delivers value for licence fee payers and serves audiences across all platforms. This decision forms part of that process,” said a BBC Sport statement.

    Philip Bernie, head of BBC Sport events, said Ski Sunday “has been a truly iconic programme”.

    He added: “Generations of viewers have enjoyed its coverage of the best in winter sports. “We are enormously proud of the role it has played in bringing these moments to audiences across the UK, and extremely grateful to the brilliant people who have delivered them, not least the current outstanding team.”These decisions are never easy, but as audience viewing habits evolve and we work to deliver value for licence fee payers, we have to make tough choices. “We remain committed to bringing audiences the very best of winter sport, above all at the Winter Olympics, across BBC Sport’s platforms.”

    Rivals Copying Ferrari’s F1 Aero Designs Is “a good reward” for Maranello

    Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur believes rival Formula 1 teams copying the SF-26’s innovative aerodynamic concepts is a “good reward” for the Maranello-based team.

    Ferrari entered the 2026 regulations cycle with a striking car featuring several notable areas of technical innovation. At winter testing in Bahrain, the team added a winglet to the structure behind the exhaust. Internally known as Flick Tail Mode (FTM), the device generates additional rear downforce at the cost of a small increase in drag.

    Ferrari introduced another concept the following day: a rotating wing nicknamed the Macarena wing, which flips 180 degrees between cornering and straight-line configurations.

    Ferrari’s exhaust wing copied by rivals

    The exhaust wing has been widely copied by Ferrari’s rivals, although the Scuderia’s design has proved difficult to fully reverse engineer because Ferrari developed parts of the rear of the SF-26 around the concept. The FIA has since banned the exhaust device for 2027 by closing the relevant loophole in the technical regulations, preventing similar designs from becoming increasingly extreme.

    Red Bull has also adopted the upside-down wing, while McLaren has tested its own version. McLaren began work on the project after seeing Ferrari’s design during testing, whereas Red Bull independently pursued a different concept.

    “We were disappointed not to pick that up as quickly as Ferrari did and then Red Bull,” said McLaren technical director Neil Houldey. “As soon as we saw it, we realised there was an opportunity there.”

    Speaking exclusively to Motorsport.com, Vasseur said Ferrari’s aerodynamicists and designers had received a boost from leading the development race. He has encouraged the team to embrace innovation and take greater risks.

    Asked whether rivals copying Ferrari’s exhaust wing and rear wing represented a compliment to Maranello, Vasseur replied: “I’m not there to have compliments. I’m there because I want to win. The best compliment for me is to go on the podium.

    “But yes, it’s true that for the guys in the team, to see Red Bull coming with the wing, and I think probably Red Bull started before seeing our wings, but the others starting to copy [it], or even the device on the exhaust, for the guys in the team who had the idea it’s a good reward.”

    Ferrari’s SF-26 emerges as a leading F1 chassis

    Despite Ferrari’s well-documented power unit weakness, the SF-26 can arguably be regarded as the strongest chassis in Formula 1. After a series of upgrades, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have both won a grand prix, at Silverstone and Barcelona respectively, while Ferrari sits second in the championship standings.

    The SF-26 was the first Ferrari designed under technical director Loic Serra. He was signed in 2023 but joined the team from Mercedes only at the end of 2024 after an extended gardening leave period.

    Vasseur said Serra’s delayed arrival and the time required to develop the 2026 car illustrated why it takes so long to transform an F1 team.

    “The frustration that you can have sometimes in F1 is that on the technical side the process is mega long, because you have a lot of inertia,” he explained.

    “For example, we started to discuss [with Loic] mid ’23 and he joined the team at the end of 2024. Then he’s focused on the car of ’26, and he’s still recruiting people to help him. It means that this process is about years, when on the other hand we want to get results next week.

    “I’m very, very pleased with the choices that we made, with the set-up that we have, and the collaboration that we have in the team. The team is strong. The collaboration is mega strong.”
