PlayStation has announced two back-to-back State of Play broadcasts scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3, starting at 9 a.m. ET. Sony’s gaming division did not specify the total runtime, but confirmed the first stream will deliver “updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and our third-party partners” before concluding with an extended look at Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, which is targeting a spring 2027 launch.
Second stream spotlights Japanese and Asian titles
The second broadcast will focus entirely on games from Japan and Asia, though most — if not all — are expected to receive Western releases as well. Combined, the two presentations could offer at least an hour of new game announcements and trailers on Thursday morning.
The double feature arrives amid a crowded release calendar that includes Grand Theft Auto VI and numerous other major titles over the coming months.
