Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence has officially joined Instagram, amassing over 3.5 million followers within hours under the handle @jlaw after her preferred username jenniferlawrence was already taken.

In her inaugural post, Lawrence declared she was “giving it a shot” but issued an immediate ultimatum to her new audience.
“If anyone says anything negative I will quit immediately, no questions asked. If anyone thinks something mean I’ll know. I’ll know, and I’ll quit.”
She reinforced the message in her first Instagram Story, adding a humorous twist:
“Please me mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby. It’s me. I’m the baby.”
