  • Brock Purdy’s Wife Jenna: What to Know About the 49ers QB’s Relationship

Brock Purdy’s Wife Jenna: What to Know About the 49ers QB’s Relationship

Brock Purdy and Jenna Brandt: From Iowa State Athletes to NFL Power Couple and Parents

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna Brandt, have navigated a remarkable journey together—from college athletes at Iowa State University to married life in the NFL spotlight and, most recently, parenthood. Their story is rooted in a shared Iowa connection that began long before Purdy became “Mr. Irrelevant” in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Jenna Brandt’s Iowa Roots and Athletic Foundation

Born on October 26, 1999, Brandt grew up in Sumner, Iowa. She established herself as a standout athlete at Sumner-Fredericksburg High School, where volleyball was her primary sport. She played all four years and served as team captain twice, also competing in track and field. After graduating in 2018, she took her talents to Iowa State University to play for the Cyclones volleyball program.

    College Sweethearts at Iowa State

Brandt and Purdy crossed paths as students at Iowa State. While Purdy launched his collegiate football career with the Cyclones football team, Brandt studied kinesiology and played three seasons for the volleyball program. Her tenure included opportunities to participate in USA Volleyball tryouts and an international trip to South America for matches against foreign competition. In late 2020, Brandt announced via Instagram her decision to transfer to the University of Northern Iowa, where she completed her collegiate playing career with the Panthers in 2022.

    Going Public in 2022

The couple made their relationship public in November 2022. By that time, Purdy had already begun making waves in the NFL after the 49ers selected him with the final pick of the 2022 draft. Brandt shared photos on social media featuring Purdy and her family, offering followers a glimpse into their budding romance.

Engagement and a Des Moines Wedding

Purdy proposed in July 2023 during a getaway in St. Cloud, Florida. Both celebrated the engagement online, expressing excitement for their next chapter. They officially tied the knot on March 9, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa. According to Southern Bride, Brandt wore a strapless mermaid-style gown for the ceremony.

Welcoming Daughter Millie Joleen in 2025

The couple’s family grew in July 2025 with the arrival of their first child. Purdy and Brandt announced the birth of their daughter, Millie Joleen, through a joint social media post that included the first photos of their new family of three.

From the volleyball courts of Sumner and the football fields of Ames to the bright lights of Levi’s Stadium and the quiet joys of parenthood, Purdy and Brandt’s partnership continues to write its next chapters—grounded in Midwestern roots and mutual support.

  • Josh Allen Pays Sweet Tribute to Hailee Steinfeld, Daughter

Josh Allen Pays Sweet Tribute to Hailee Steinfeld, Daughter

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen revealed a personal ritual during a recent GQ “10 Essentials” feature: he carries two Polaroid photos in his wallet at all times. One captures his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld. The other shows their daughter, Harper Haize, born in April 2025.

    A Father’s Constant Reminder

“The most important to me… in my wallet, I always keep two Polaroids, now two, it used to always be one,” Allen said. He declined to show the images to the camera. “I’m not going to show you these,” Allen continued. “It’s my wife and my baby. Had a baby a few months ago. I didn’t, my wife did. Got to have them in my pocket at all times.” He added with a smile, “They’re the best. It’s so cute.”

The admission offers a rare glimpse into the private life of the 30-year-old NFL star. Allen and Steinfeld, 29, married in California in May 2025 after first being linked in 2023. They announced their pregnancy in December 2024 and have largely kept their daughter out of the public eye.

    Fatherhood Adds New Motivation

Entering his ninth NFL season, Allen said becoming a father has deepened his drive on the field. “I think one is to provide for my family and two, it’s to show this young baby that when she’s growing up, how hard life can sometimes get and how hard you have to work at certain things to accomplish some things that may be crazy to others,” Allen said. “There are a lot of reasons why I play this game,” he added. “But it’s only added more reasons as to why I do it.”

The couple’s transition from newlyweds to parents has unfolded in under a year, all while Allen prepares to lead a Bills team with Super Bowl aspirations. Steinfeld has shown support publicly, attending a preseason game at the team’s new Highmark Stadium in August and sharing a view from inside the venue on social media.

For Allen, the Polaroids serve as a portable anchor. Whether at the stadium, on the road, or anywhere the season takes him, the photos keep his family close without putting them on display. As he put it, they remain with him “at all times.”

  • North Carolina Democrat Sparks Outrage After Calling for Violence Against Trump Supporters

North Carolina Democrat Sparks Outrage After Calling for Violence Against Trump Supporters

Hugh Hewitt Addresses Controversial Social Media Posts by North Carolina Democratic Candidate Shelly Headen

Fox News contributor Hugh Hewitt recently responded to inflammatory social media activity from Shelly Headen, a Democratic candidate running for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina. The commentary centered on posts attributed to Headen that appeared to advocate for violence directed at supporters of former President Donald Trump.

    Candidate’s Rhetoric Draws Scrutiny

The segment highlighted specific social media posts from Headen’s accounts that critics argue cross the line from political opposition into dangerous incitement. Hewitt examined the language used in these posts, contextualizing them within the broader national conversation about political violence and the responsibility of public figures to condemn extremist rhetoric regardless of partisan affiliation.

Poll Data Reveals Shifting Democratic Sentiment

Beyond the immediate controversy surrounding the North Carolina race, Hewitt also discussed recent polling data indicating a significant trend within the Democratic electorate. The poll referenced during the segment showed that a majority of self-identified Democrats now express support for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). This finding suggests a notable leftward shift in the policy preferences and ideological alignment of the party’s base, a development with potential implications for future primary elections and the overall direction of the Democratic platform.

    Implications for the 2024 Cycle

The confluence of these topics—specific candidate conduct and broader ideological polling—underscores the dynamic and sometimes volatile nature of the current political landscape. As the 2024 election cycle progresses, the rhetoric employed by down-ballot candidates and the evolving ideological center of gravity within major parties will remain focal points for media analysis and voter consideration.

Moreirense vs Benfica: Rescheduled Match Offers Chance to Climb Table

Moreirense and Benfica face off on Wednesday in a rescheduled Primeira Liga fixture from matchday three, with both sides targeting a climb up the table. The match at Parque de Jogos Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas takes on added significance given the visibly deteriorating pitch conditions.

    Table implications for both sides

Moreirense, known as Os Cónegos, enter the contest with four points from their opening matches. A victory would propel the Minho-based club into the top half of the standings. Benfica, nicknamed As Águias, sit on eleven points and would rise to second place with three points.

    Pitch concerns mount

Moreirense-Benfica: estado do relvado piora de forma bem visível. The playing surface at Moreirense’s home ground has been a talking point leading up to kickoff, with visible deterioration raising questions about how the ball will behave and whether the conditions will favor a particular style of play.

Wednesday’s encounter represents a critical opportunity for both managers to gain momentum early in the campaign. Benfica will look to maintain their title challenge, while Moreirense aim to establish themselves as competitive mid-table contenders.

Khalil Shakir Optimistic About Week 1

There is currently optimism that Shakir will be available for the Buffalo Bills’ Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 13, according to Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com, who reported that “there’s currently optimism” regarding the wide receiver’s status.

Shakir has been sidelined by an undisclosed injury since appearing in the preseason Week 1 game on Aug. 15. He also did not participate in Tuesday’s practice. The Bills are scheduled to release their first Week 1 injury report next Wednesday, which should provide a clearer indication of Shakir’s availability for the regular-season opener.

  • Rave and Massey Hit Home Runs as Royals Defeat Astros 5-2, Dropping Houston into First-Place Tie with Texas

Rave and Massey Hit Home Runs as Royals Defeat Astros 5-2, Dropping Houston into First-Place Tie with Texas

Kansas City Royals secured a 5-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night, pushing the American League West race into a dead heat. The loss drops Houston into a first-place tie with the Texas Rangers, both sitting at 76-76, though the Astros hold the tiebreaker advantage. This marks the first time since August 24 that Houston has not sat alone atop the division.

Rave and Massey Power Royals Offense

John Rave opened the scoring with a two-run home run in the fourth inning, his sixth of the season, off Astros starter Cristian Javier. The Royals broke the game open in the eighth inning. Michael Massey led off the frame with his 12th homer of the year — his third hit of the night — sparking a three-run rally. Kansas City added another run on a throwing error by right fielder Jorge Barrosa before Carter Jensen capped the inning with an RBI double.

Lynch Shines in Return; Bullpen Holds Firm

Daniel Lynch IV delivered a strong start for Kansas City, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out three to earn his sixth win. Craig Kimbrel navigated a one-out single in the sixth to keep Houston off the board. Nolan Hoffman allowed two singles in the seventh, but Anthony Gose escaped the jam by striking out pinch-hitter Nelson Velazquez and inducing a fly out from Daulton Varsho.

Astros Offense Quiet Outside of Peña and Díaz

Jeremy Peña continued his hot streak, going 3-for-4 with a double for his second consecutive three-hit game. Yainer Díaz provided Houston’s only other run with a solo home run in the ninth inning. Cristian Javier took the loss after surrendering two runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings, dropping his record to 2-6.

AL West Race Enters Final Stretch

With the regular season winding down, the Astros and Rangers remain locked in a tight battle for the division crown. The team that falls short will still have a path to the postseason via the wild card, adding urgency to every remaining contest.

    Upcoming Probable Starters

The series concludes Thursday with right-hander Seth Lugo (7-8, 4.99 ERA) taking the mound for the Royals. Houston counters with right-hander Miguel Ullola (0-0, 3.38 ERA), who will serve as an opener.

  • 5 Missing Women Linked to Massive Investigation at Philadelphia Home; Eugene Horsch Connected, Officials Say

5 Missing Women Linked to Massive Investigation at Philadelphia Home; Eugene Horsch Connected, Officials Say

Five Missing Women Linked to Philadelphia Home Investigation as Police Promise Update

Philadelphia authorities have now connected a total of five missing women to a sprawling investigation centered on a residence in the city’s Olney neighborhood. The development comes as Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel indicated a case update could arrive as early as this week.

Five Women Linked to Ongoing Investigation

The latest name added to the list is Nicole Fusaro, who was 27 when she disappeared in 2018. Her cousin confirmed the connection to Philadelphia affiliate WPVI on Tuesday, adding that family members have been meeting with detectives. Fusaro joins four other women previously tied to the probe:

    • Gabrielle Amarando, 22, missing since 2012
    • Maribel Fresses, 27, missing since 2018
    • Blair Tonzelli, 35, missing since 2023
    • Amy McHale, 44, last seen in 2016

Police stated last month that images and videos recovered during the investigation show Amarando and Fresses, both appearing to be deceased. Their bodies have not been recovered.

    Investigation Timeline and Key Evidence

The investigation began on June 19 after a federal park ranger encountered a black BMW parked in a restricted area of Independence Mall around 8 p.m. Suspecting drug activity, the ranger requested identification. The passenger, a woman, allegedly handed over an ID card bearing Tonzelli’s name. She reportedly told police that Eugene Horsch, 44, had given her the identification.

Since then, authorities have recovered a range of evidence from the property, including:

    • Chemicals and drugs
    • Firearms and ballistic evidence
    • A 55-gallon drum connected to water lines
    • An underground pipe excavated from in front of the home

Police said in July the pipes would be tested for evidence, but officials have declined further comment citing the ongoing investigation. Documents obtained by WPVI also reveal officers found an unsigned handwritten note referencing serial killer Ted Bundy and methods for disposing of trash.

Suspect Eugene Horsch and Family Connections

Eugene Horsch remains in federal custody on firearms charges. He was indicted in early July for being a convicted felon in possession of guns — including one with an obliterated serial number — as well as possessing fake U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and FBI credentials.

Horsch’s late father, Raymond Horsch, has also become a central figure. Sources told WPVI last week that investigators recovered video allegedly showing Raymond Horsch strangling a woman to death; that woman has not been named. Amy McHale, one of the missing women, had previously been married to Raymond Horsch. Her family told WPVI she was last seen at the Olney home shortly after Eugene Horsch’s arrest.

    Police and Federal Updates Expected

Commissioner Bethel’s statement that an update could come this week signals potential progress in a case that has drawn significant public attention. As detectives continue to process evidence and interview families, the investigation remains active and wide-ranging.
