Paul Skenes ‘ignores’ Olivia Dunne as She Desperately Asks for a Picture From the Stands

Olivia Dunne poked fun at her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes by pretending to be an ordinary fan during a hilarious nine-second exchange.

As Skenes walked off the mound, Dunne spotted her boyfriend from the stands and immediately committed to the joke.

“Hey Paul, I’m a huge fan,” she shouted before asking him for a picture, acting as though she were trying to get the attention of the Pirates star.

When Skenes continued walking, Dunne made the performance even more dramatic.

“I’m a big fan. I love you, please, please,” she continued, pleading with him as she played the role of an adoring fan being ignored by her favorite player.

The moment lasted only a few seconds, but that brevity made the joke even funnier. Skenes appeared to give her nothing as he left the mound, while Dunne fully embraced the role.

  • Why a Former NFL Edge Rusher Believes the Dallas Cowboys Are Legitimate 2026 Contenders

Why a Former NFL Edge Rusher Believes the Dallas Cowboys Are Legitimate 2026 Contenders

The Dallas Cowboys enter the new NFL season determined to end a three-decade Super Bowl drought. With a revamped defense, a star-studded offense and renewed confidence in Dak Prescott, Dallas is viewed as a legitimate NFC championship contender.

After finishing 7-9-1 and missing the playoffs last season, the Cowboys begin the year healthy and with one of the deepest rosters in the conference. Expectations are especially high for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Javonte Williams, Jake Ferguson, Quinnen Williams, Demarvion Overshown and Kenny Clark.

Cowboys build around Dak Prescott and a deep roster

The Cowboys have also focused on team chemistry, with the coaching staff taking Dak Prescott and the other quarterbacks Greek dancing in an unusual team-bonding move.

CBS analyst Leger Douzable believes Dallas has the personnel needed to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first time since the 1995 season, with the offense serving as the team’s biggest strength.

“The Dallas Cowboys, I know every year people say, ‘This is our year!’ This legitimately could be the year,”

    Douzable said.

“The offense is gonna be there. They literally retained everybody who was on offense, which is unheard of. They were able to do that.”

New additions aim to strengthen Cowboys defense

Dallas’ defense was the team’s biggest weakness last season. However, the additions of Rashan Gary, Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence, along with the return of Quinnen Williams, could significantly improve the unit.

“I really like what they have done. They refortified and revamped that defense, and just like the (Cincinnati) Bengals, we don’t need you to be in the top five (on defense). We need you to be in the middle of the pack because your offense is explosive,”

added Douzable, who played 10 seasons in the NFL.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer has also expressed confidence in the Cowboys’ overall depth and talent. After missing the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, Dallas knows there is little room for another disappointing campaign.

The pressure is immense, and expectations from a fan base that has waited 30 years to celebrate another championship have never been higher.

Max Verstappen’s Red Bull Dutch GP Race Suit Up for Charity Auction

Red Bull is auctioning a special-edition Max Verstappen race suit worn during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Wings for Life charity.

Max Verstappen Dutch GP race suit auction

Hosted by F1 Authentics, the auction gives collectors the chance to acquire the race suit worn by the four-time world champion at his final home grand prix at Zandvoort. The winning bidder will receive the suit professionally framed and signed by Verstappen.

Verstappen entered the Dutch Grand Prix weekend after signing a contract extension that will keep him at Red Bull until the end of 2030. He scored three points in the sprint race but crashed out of the grand prix on the opening lap.

The Dutchman is an official ambassador for Wings for Life. The charitable foundation was established in 2004 by the late Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz and two-time motocross champion Heinz Kinigadner.

Red Bull Racing CEO and team principal Laurent Mekies, who is also a Wings for Life ambassador, explained:

“Following Max’s contract extension with the team, we’re proud to be auctioning one of his special edition Dutch GP race suits in aid of our team charity, Wings for Life.

“This special suit, signed by Max, was designed for what was expected to be his last home race in Zandvoort, as the Dutch GP leaves the F1 calendar. In collaboration with the F1 Authentics auction platform, collectors can bid to own this very notable piece of history.

“With 100% of the auction proceeds going directly to Wings for Life, we can transform a rare piece of racing memorabilia into meaningful research to find a cure for spinal cord injury.”

The auction is running online at F1 Authentics until Sunday 30 August. At the time of writing, the highest bid is £37,500.

  • Who Is Cristian “Kily” González, Lionel Messi’s New Manager at Inter Miami?

Who Is Cristian “Kily” González, Lionel Messi’s New Manager at Inter Miami?

Inter Miami Set to Replace Guillermo Hoyos Before MLS Playoffs

Inter Miami are reportedly preparing to make another change at manager after a brutal five-game stretch. Guillermo Hoyos, who took over after Javier Mascherano resigned in April, has appeared out of his depth in recent weeks.

Cristian Gonzalez, better known as “Kily” Gonzalez, is expected to replace Hoyos. Miami hope the Argentine coach can turn the team’s fortunes around just before the MLS playoffs begin.

Team captain Lionel Messi has continued to play at an exceptional level since returning from Argentina following the death of his father. However, the rest of the Inter Miami squad has struggled significantly.

Kily Gonzalez Has a Longstanding Connection With Lionel Messi

Like Miami’s previous three managers, all of whom were born in Argentina, Gonzalez has a personal connection with Messi. Both Gonzalez and Messi were born in Rosario, and they spent time together with the Argentina national team during two qualifying matches ahead of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

In 2022, shortly after Argentina won the FIFA World Cup, Gonzalez greeted Messi and Angel Di Maria when both players arrived in Rosario. Gonzalez and Messi also participated in Maxi Rodriguez’s farewell match in the city.

Gonzalez Brings Limited Recent Managerial Experience

Gonzalez does not have the strongest managerial résumé. He spent fewer than two years in charge of both Rosario Central and Union Santa Fe. His most recent spell, with Platense, lasted only 132 days.

    • Platense: 2 wins, 5 draws, 7 losses
    • Union Santa Fe: 25 wins, 25 draws, 27 losses
    • Rosario Central: 25 wins, 14 draws, 29 losses

Inter Miami are hoping Gonzalez can bring a different approach as the club prepares for the MLS playoffs.

  • Michael Jordan’s Legacy Grows 23 Years After Retirement as Sneaker Empire Reaches No. 41

Michael Jordan’s Legacy Grows 23 Years After Retirement as Sneaker Empire Reaches No. 41

Air Jordan 41 Continues Michael Jordan’s Sneaker Legacy 23 Years After His Final NBA Game

Michael Jordan has always been defined by numbers: six championships, five MVP awards, 10 scoring titles and, above all, the number 23. The jersey number became so closely associated with Jordan that generations of children wanted to wear it simply because he had worn it first.

On April 16, 2003, Jordan played his final NBA game. He was 40 years old and wearing a Washington Wizards uniform rather than Chicago Bulls red when Philadelphia intentionally fouled him late in the game, allowing him to score the final two points of his career from the free-throw line. The crowd rose to applaud him before Jordan eventually headed toward the locker room. Basketball’s No. 23 was finally finished.

Twenty-three years later, another number has arrived in a coincidence that feels almost too fitting for Jordan. Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the Air Jordan 41, the 41st chapter in a sneaker story that began when Jordan was a 21-year-old rookie and Nike made an enormous gamble on a young guard from North Carolina.

The number 41 does not represent Jordan’s age, championship total or another jersey number. It is simply the 41st numbered Air Jordan. Reaching that milestone nevertheless says something remarkable: the shoes continued long after the player stopped playing.

The Air Jordan story began with a shoe that was never expected to become iconic

Before there could be an Air Jordan 41, there had to be an Air Jordan 1.

Jordan’s relationship with Nike began during his rookie season in 1984, while the first Air Jordan arrived commercially in 1985. The black-and-red story surrounding those early shoes became part of sneaker mythology. The NBA objected to footwear that violated its uniform rules, and Nike transformed the controversy into marketing gold.

The famous claim that Jordan was fined $5,000 every time he wore the Air Jordan 1 in an NBA game is not entirely accurate. Nike now acknowledges that the shoe at the center of the original dispute was a black-and-red Nike Air Ship worn during the 1984 preseason. The legend, however, helped establish the Air Jordan as a rebellious product before sneaker culture even had a name.

Air Jordan 41 technology and design

The new Air Jordan 41 features:

    • Full-length Zoom Strobel
    • Full-length ZoomX midsole

Then something much bigger happened. People did not only want to watch Michael Jordan. They wanted to wear Michael Jordan.

The Air Jordan 3 arrived in 1988 with Tinker Hatfield’s design, elephant print and the Jumpman imagery that would eventually become recognizable far beyond basketball. The Air Jordan 4 became permanently associated with “The Shot” over Craig Ehlo during the 1989 playoffs.

The Air Jordan 11 became one of the defining shoes of Jordan’s return from baseball and later gained another life through Space Jam. The black-and-red Air Jordan 12 became inseparable from the legendary 1997 “Flu Game,” while the Air Jordan 13 accompanied Jordan during his final championship run, later chronicled in The Last Dance.

Some Michael Jordan sneakers are worth more than houses

Perhaps the clearest evidence of what Jordan created is the amount collectors are now willing to pay for shoes he actually wore.

A pair of Air Jordan 13s worn by Jordan during Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $2.2 million in 2023. An even more extraordinary sale followed in 2024, when the “Dynasty Collection” sold for $8 million. The collection consisted of six individual sneakers Jordan wore during the championship-clinching games of all six Bulls title runs. They were not six complete pairs, but six individual shoes.

There have been even stranger Jordan sneaker relics. A pair of Air Jordan 1s connected to a 1985 exhibition game in Italy was sold with a piece of shattered backboard glass reportedly still embedded in the sole, a souvenir from the night Jordan dunked hard enough to break the glass.

Another pair associated with the 1985 game in which Jordan fractured his left foot sold for more than $400,000. Shoes once designed to be destroyed on a basketball court eventually became artifacts treated like paintings.

The transformation has made Jordan extraordinarily wealthy, but the scale of the business may be more impressive than any estimate of his personal royalties. Nike reported $7.034 billion in Jordan Brand revenue during fiscal 2026 alone.

Forty years after the first Air Jordan, the brand is not a nostalgic side business surviving on old photographs. It remains a multibillion-dollar global company.

Michael Jordan still influences the Air Jordan line at 63

That may be the most surprising part of the Air Jordan 41. Jordan is not merely an old photograph used to sell the shoe. At 63, he was among the athletes whose feedback informed its development.

Jordan Brand describes the AJ41 as lighter and more responsive. The design uses a first-of-its-kind 3D nano mesh upper, full-length ZoomX foam, Zoom Strobel cushioning and additional Air Zoom technology. The first colorways are inspired by gemstones, with each intended to represent qualities such as strength, courage, passion and creativity.

The first version is appropriately called “Ruby.” It arrives in the red that has followed Jordan through so much of his life, and Nike has priced it at $205. Look closely and there is another small reminder of the man behind the shoe: the official color description includes “Infrared 23.” Forty-one shoes later, 23 is still there.

Jordan himself has not disappeared from competition. He co-owns 23XI Racing, whose name combines his 23 with Denny Hamlin’s 11. Just days before the AJ41 unveiling, Jordan visited the team’s Airspeed headquarters to speak with its drivers and personnel ahead of NASCAR’s postseason.

Meanwhile, another chapter of his brief return to NBA television appears to be closing. A report on August 27 said Jordan is not expected to return to NBC’s NBA coverage after one season as a special contributor. Even at 63, his relationship with competition seems difficult to leave behind completely.

That may be why the Air Jordan 41 feels different when viewed as part of the entire story.

A young Michael Jordan once put on the first shoes carrying his name without knowing whether there would ever be a second pair, much less a 41st model. He played his final NBA game on April 16, 2003, leaving the court with 32,292 career points, six championships and a No. 23 that was already immortal.

Now, 23 years later, the player is long retired, but the footsteps have not stopped.

Michael Jordan wore No. 23. His shoes have now reached No. 41. Between those two numbers lies one of the rarest achievements in sports: a career that ended, and a legacy that refused to.

  • NBA Breakup Rumors: Bronny James and Girlfriend Parker Whitfield Fuel Speculation After Instagram Unfollow

NBA Breakup Rumors: Bronny James and Girlfriend Parker Whitfield Fuel Speculation After Instagram Unfollow

Bronny James and Parker Whitfield have fueled fresh speculation about their relationship after appearing to unfollow each other on Instagram.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard and Whitfield have been romantically linked since 2024, but their latest social media activity has led fans to question whether they may have quietly ended their relationship.

Why Bronny James and Parker Whitfield are facing breakup rumors

James and Whitfield first attracted attention as a couple after appearing together during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Their relationship later became more visible, with Whitfield attending Lakers games and supporting James as he began his NBA career alongside his father, LeBron James.

Whitfield is also part of a prominent sporting family. She is the daughter of former NFL offensive lineman Bob Whitfield and actress Salli Richardson Whitfield.

The couple generally kept their relationship private despite their growing public profiles. However, occasional public appearances and social media interactions gave fans glimpses of their romance.

That privacy has made the apparent mutual unfollow on Instagram particularly noticeable. The change has prompted questions about whether something has shifted behind the scenes.

    No breakup has been confirmed

Neither James nor Whitfield has publicly confirmed that their relationship has ended. Social media activity alone does not establish that a breakup has taken place, and neither has explained why they appear to have stopped following each other.

James remains focused on developing his NBA career after the Lakers selected him with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 21-year-old has spent much of his early professional career moving between the Lakers and their G League affiliate while working to establish a larger role.

For now, fans seeking clarity about James and Whitfield will have to wait. Until either addresses the situation publicly, their Instagram activity remains the main basis for the growing breakup rumors.

  • Alex Albon Opens Up About Burnout Amid Growing Formula 1 Demands

Alex Albon Opens Up About Burnout Amid Growing Formula 1 Demands

Alex Albon has revealed that the demands of Formula 1’s expanding championship calendar and relentless commercial schedule left him suffering from severe burnout during the 2025 season.

The Williams driver spoke about the difficulty of balancing racing with off-track commitments from Monaco, days after retiring early from the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.

Albon reveals impact of F1’s commercial demands

Appearing on The Fast And The Curious podcast, Albon said his additional responsibilities, particularly around races in the United States, had taken a significant toll on him the previous year.

“I find myself so drained, especially when we go towards our American races because that’s clearly where we’re more in demand, whether it’s through partners or content, whatever it may be,” Albon explained when asked how he manages his commitments as an introvert in a championship that attracts more attention than ever.

“I’m happy to be my authentic self in these situations, but at the same time, I don’t know what it is, it just drains me. And so for me to get away, prioritising myself and spending maybe one or two nights back at home and then flying off again or whatever it may be, I put much more attention on that. I felt like I got burnt out last year quite badly.”

How Albon recovered after Dutch Grand Prix retirement

Albon said he adopted a deliberately quiet routine to recover after his retirement at Zandvoort.

“Yesterday was literally… What did we do? Nothing. We woke up, we got brunch with Carlos. We literally came back, did nothing. Went for dinner, came back and watched more of nothing and then went to bed early.

“Today is kind of a little bit like that, very normal, sitting on the couch doing your house chores, cleaning up the apartment. After this we’re just going to do some food shopping.”

Even during race weekends, Albon said it was important to escape the “melting pot” of the Formula 1 paddock. He sometimes travels 30 minutes from the circuit to find quieter restaurants, while noting that fans have consistently respected his privacy when he has gone out for dinner.

“It’s no fun to be stuck in a hotel room all day,” he added. “Even if I’m introverted, I still find myself needing to get out there, just going for a walk or grabbing coffee.”

  • Simone Biles Can’t Seem to Stay Faithful to the NFL After Marrying Jonathan Owen

Simone Biles Can’t Seem to Stay Faithful to the NFL After Marrying Jonathan Owen

Jonathan Owens has started a new chapter in Indianapolis, and Simone Biles already appears to have a new favorite NFL team—at least for this season.

The Olympic gymnast attended the Indianapolis Colts’ preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons at Lucas Oil Stadium on August 22 to support her husband, who recently joined the Colts.

Biles’ outfit made it clear that she has embraced Owens’ new team. She wore a cropped Colts top with black pants and carried a Chanel purse. As usual, she shared a kiss with Owens before kickoff.

Simone Biles embraces Jonathan Owens’ new Colts chapter

Owens’ games have frequently provided Biles with a platform to showcase her style. During his time with the Chicago Bears, her appearances were particularly eye-catching and included custom-made clothing.

In previous seasons, Biles has worn handmade jackets featuring Owens’ face, football-themed footwear and fine jewelry highlighting his jersey number.

This marks the fifth time the gymnast has adjusted her game-day style in response to one of Owens’ moves in the NFL.

Biles’ connection to American football began in 2020 with the Houston Texans, where Owens was playing when the pair met through a dating app. At the time, Biles openly acknowledged that she had little prior knowledge of or particular interest in the sport.

For this latest chapter in Indiana, blue and white now dominate her game-day look as she represents the Indianapolis Colts. Fans will be watching to see which exclusive designs she unveils at future games.

With the NFL regular season approaching, Biles’ presence in the stands is expected to bring additional media attention to Colts games. While Indianapolis will be focused on winning on the field, television and online cameras are also likely to closely follow the evolution of one of Lucas Oil Stadium’s most recognizable sections.
