Shailene Woodley’s Friends Alarmed Over Aaron Rodgers Slamming Actress, Report Says

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made pointed remarks about his former fiancée, actress Shailene Woodley, during a podcast appearance on Thursday.

The comments mark the latest public discussion of their relationship since the couple confirmed their split in early 2022 after a brief engagement. Rodgers and Woodley began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in February 2021, though they kept much of their relationship private.

Thursday’s podcast appearance adds to a series of media engagements where Rodgers has addressed personal matters alongside his football career. The four-time NFL MVP has previously spoken about his decision-making process regarding his playing future, including his high-profile move to the New York Jets in 2023.

Woodley, known for roles in “Big Little Lies” and the “Divergent” series, has largely avoided public comment on the relationship since the breakup. Representatives for neither party issued immediate statements following the podcast’s release.

Aaron Rodgers’ Relationship History: Complete Stats and Details

Aaron Rodgers is reflecting on his romantic past as he embraces married life. The New York Jets quarterback recently opened up about his relationship history, sharing insights shortly after revealing he had tied the knot with his wife, Brittani.

    Rodgers Finds His ‘Forever Teammate’

The four-time NFL MVP described Brittani as his “forever teammate,” signaling a major personal milestone for the 40-year-old signal-caller. While Rodgers has long kept his private life out of the spotlight, this public acknowledgment marks a shift toward sharing his journey off the field.

    Monday Morning Quarterbacking on Love

Using a classic football metaphor, Rodgers admitted to doing some “Monday morning quarterbacking” on his previous relationships. The phrase—typically used to describe second-guessing decisions after the fact—suggests he has gained clarity on what he was looking for in a partner.

Details surrounding the wedding ceremony and the couple’s timeline remain scarce, as Rodgers continues to balance transparency with privacy. The announcement puts a definitive stamp on years of speculation regarding the quarterback’s relationship status.

    Focus Remains on the Field

Despite the personal headlines, Rodgers’s primary focus remains the upcoming NFL season. After a season-ending Achilles injury in his Jets debut, the veteran passer is laser-focused on leading New York back to playoff contention. His new marital chapter appears to have brought a settled perspective that could benefit his on-field leadership.

  • Anthony Richardson Trade Rumor: Top 3 Landing Spots for Former No. 4 Overall Pick by Colts

Anthony Richardson Trade Rumor: Top 3 Landing Spots for Former No. 4 Overall Pick by Colts

When the Indianapolis Colts selected Anthony Richardson fourth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, the quarterback was widely viewed as a high-risk, high-reward prospect. Two years into his NFL career, however, the risk appeared to be outweighing the potential. His 2025 season ultimately became a major setback.

Veteran Daniel Jones decisively won the Colts’ quarterback competition and helped turn Indianapolis into one of the NFL’s most productive offenses. Jones suffered a torn Achilles in early December, but Richardson was already on injured reserve after fracturing his orbital bone during a pregame warmup on October 13.

As the Colts prepare for the 2026 season, Jones has recovered well and remains the clear starter. Richardson is not guaranteed the backup role, either, with Riley Leonard also competing for the second-string position.

That competition may not reach a conclusion in Indianapolis. A report from Benjamin Allbright suggests Richardson could be traded “in the next few weeks,” with teams contacting the Colts to express interest in acquiring the former first-round pick.

Several teams could offer Richardson a potential landing spot, both as an immediate backup and as a possible future starter.

    New York Jets

The New York Jets have been searching for a long-term quarterback solution for years. They are entering the 2026 season with the much-maligned Geno Smith as their starter and fourth-round pick Cade Klubnik as the backup.

Because Smith is playing under a one-year contract, Richardson could position himself to compete for the starting job in New York as soon as 2027.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield remains firmly established as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ starting quarterback, but the team has not given him the long-term contract he sought during the offseason.

With Jake Browning currently behind Mayfield, Richardson could have a realistic opportunity to win the backup role this season. If his development progresses as hoped, he could potentially succeed Mayfield in 2027.

    Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons also face uncertainty at quarterback. Michael Penix Jr. has yet to show much during his NFL career, while Tua Tagovailoa has struggled during the preseason and could be traded soon.

That situation could give Richardson a clear opportunity to compete for playing time and rebuild his career in Atlanta.
