While players such as Iga Swiatek have attended Broadway shows, Rublev experienced a potentially once-in-a-lifetime evening watching the global pop star perform at MSG.

    Andrey Rublev attends Harry Styles concert

    It is unclear whether other players attended the concert, but Rublev appeared to enjoy the night. A video from the event was shared by @trackandcourt on TikTok.

    Styles is performing a 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden through Oct. 31 as part of his Together, Together tour.

    Rublev attended the concert on Saturday, the same night his coach, Marat Safin, watched Roger Federer’s induction at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

    Andrey Rublev’s 2026 US Open draw

    With the weekend festivities over, Rublev has turned his attention to the US Open. His first-round opponent is Finnish player Otto Virtanen, ranked No. 109 in the ATP rankings.

    Rublev is the No. 23 seed at this year’s tournament. The 28-year-old has recorded his best Grand Slam results at the US Open, reaching the quarterfinals in 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2023.

    The quarterfinal stage has proved to be Rublev’s biggest obstacle. He has reached the quarterfinals, but never the semifinals, in men’s singles at each Grand Slam tournament.

    Rublev’s fans will hope 2026 is the year he breaks through at the US Open. He reached the mixed doubles semifinals with Mirra Andreeva last week, which could provide an encouraging sign heading into the singles tournament.
