XRP ETF Leads as Sole Spot Crypto Product With Inflows, Outpacing Solana, Hyperliquid, Bitcoin ETFs

XRP Leads Daily Spot ETF Inflows as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana See Outflows

Among major cryptocurrency assets, XRP posted the strongest daily exchange-traded fund (ETF) flow result on September 8, emerging as the only significant spot crypto ETF category to attract fresh investment. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid products all recorded net withdrawals during the same session.

XRP ETFs Draw $1.55M in Net Inflows

According to the latest spot ETF data from Sosovalue, XRP products registered net inflows of approximately $1.55 million on September 8. While modest in absolute terms, the figure stands out against a backdrop of outflows across rival assets.

    • Bitcoin ETFs snapped a three-day inflow streak with net outflows of $46.65 million.
    • Ethereum spot products saw $24.29 million in withdrawals.
    • Hyperliquid ETFs experienced $12.96 million in outflows.
    • Solana reported a smaller outflow of $667,720.

As a result, XRP was the sole asset among these five to post positive daily flows.

Cumulative XRP ETF Metrics Remain Strong

The broader picture for XRP funds remains constructive. Five U.S. spot XRP ETFs now hold combined net assets of roughly $1.51 billion, with cumulative net inflows of about $1.69 billion. In just the past 30 days, XRP products have attracted approximately $173 million in new capital.

Price Action: XRP Holds Above Key Moving Average

The flow divergence becomes especially notable when viewed against underlying price action. Following a significant August breakout, XRP is trading between $1.39 and $1.40, holding above its long-term moving average at $1.35. Buyers have so far prevented a full retracement toward pre-breakout levels, even as the initial rally has cooled.

Other major assets are also consolidating despite negative ETF flows:

    • Bitcoin is steadying around $79,000 after a sharp recovery.
    • Hyperliquid (HYPE) remains near recent highs of $86.
    • Solana (SOL) is holding near $104 following a surge toward $110.

Single Session Not Enough to Confirm Trend Shift

However, one positive session does not confirm a durable rotation of institutional capital toward XRP. Bitcoin’s total ETF inflows remain vastly higher at approximately $55.59 billion.

If XRP inflows persist while BTC, SOL, and HYPE products struggle to attract capital, the current divergence could signal relatively stronger institutional demand for XRP. For now, XRP has won the daily ETF flow comparison, but confirming a meaningful trend will require several more consecutive positive sessions.

Bitcoin Remains Unfazed by Trump’s Iran Threats

Bitcoin remained largely unchanged despite escalating tensions in the Middle East and U.S. President Donald Trump’s vow on Monday to hit Iran hard.

The price of Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, recently stood at $79,076, showing no movement over 24 hours. The asset was also virtually unchanged from its level seven days earlier.

Bitcoin gains nearly 30% in a month

Bitcoin began a powerful rally two weeks ago, marking its strongest performance in three years. The cryptocurrency is now up nearly 30% over the past month.

Bitcoin’s price began rising after the U.S. Treasury announced that it would at least double the size of its liquidity-support buyback operations. The announcement weakened the dollar, while non-yielding assets such as Bitcoin and gold benefited.

Positive cryptocurrency regulation developments have also supported Bitcoin this month. Last week, President Donald Trump described the long-awaited crypto Clarity Act as a “very, very powerful” piece of legislation and urged lawmakers to pass it.

The Clarity Act is intended to establish a framework for determining whether digital assets should be classified as securities, commodities or payment stablecoins. The cryptocurrency industry has long called for such legislation.

    Crypto ETF inflows support Bitcoin

Investors have also returned to exchange-traded funds linked to cryptocurrencies, providing further support for Bitcoin’s price. Between August 17 and August 27, investors put more than $2.8 billion into the funds, the highest total since October.

JUST IN: Crypto ETFs attracted $3.2 billion in inflows last week, “their largest weekly intake since October 2025”, The Kobeissi Letter reports. BlackRock’s IBIT led with $928 million last week, adding to their $1.3 billion from the prior week, and marking the biggest 2-week…

Bitcoin reached a weekly high of $81,281 before declining again on Friday.

Geopolitical conflict has weighed on Bitcoin’s price this year. The cryptocurrency has typically come under pressure following news of war and rallied when investors saw prospects for a ceasefire.

When the United States and Israel first attacked Iran in February, Bitcoin’s price plunged. The cryptocurrency also remained volatile after reports of war in March and April.

However, analysts say Bitcoin’s volatility has eased in recent months. Monday followed that pattern: Trump threatened to strike Iran again, but the digital asset showed little reaction.

The United States and Iran resumed strikes on Sunday, marking the first such action in more than one month.

“We’re going to hit them hard,” President Trump was quoted telling a Fox News reporter on Monday.

  • Crypto ETFs Attract $2.07 Billion as Bitcoin and Ether Lead Weekly Inflows

Crypto ETFs Attract $2.07 Billion as Bitcoin and Ether Lead Weekly Inflows

Crypto ETF demand broadened this week as Bitcoin funds recorded $924.48 million in net inflows and Ether funds attracted $824.42 million. Capital also moved into altcoin ETFs, with Solana, $XRP and $HYPE funds posting positive flows in every trading session.

Bitcoin ETFs record $924.48 million in weekly inflows

Bitcoin ETFs received $337.56 million on Monday and $314.37 million on Tuesday. Inflows continued with $232.12 million on Wednesday and $242.24 million on Thursday, lifting combined assets above $100 billion for the first time in weeks.

The streak ended on Friday with a $201.81 million outflow. The withdrawal closed a nine-session run of inflows worth roughly $3 billion and brought the weekly total to $924.48 million.

BlackRock’s IBIT led the market with $938.3 million in weekly inflows. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust added $81.9 million, Fidelity’s FBTC attracted $62 million and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT recorded $25.3 million.

Outflows included $85.2 million from ARK 21Shares’ ARKB, $77.6 million from Grayscale’s GBTC and $16 million from Bitwise’s BITB.

Ether ETF inflows reach $824.42 million

Ether ETFs maintained stronger momentum throughout the week. Daily inflows increased from $115.57 million on Monday to $179.80 million on Tuesday, $192.35 million on Wednesday and $234.51 million on Thursday. A further $102 million entered the funds on Friday, taking the weekly total to $824.42 million.

Macroeconomic conditions remained sensitive to interest-rate expectations. U.S. GDP grew at a 1.5% annualized pace in the second quarter, while July core PCE inflation remained at 3.3% year over year. Personal spending rose 0.2% during the month, keeping inflation data and Federal Reserve policy central to investor decisions.

Solana, $XRP and $HYPE ETFs attract consistent demand

The widening demand for altcoin ETFs was reflected in the weekly performance of Solana, $XRP and $HYPE funds.

Solana ETFs attracted $153.87 million, more than five times the previous week’s $28.34 million and the second-largest weekly inflow since inception. Flows remained positive across all five trading sessions, while weekly turnover more than doubled to approximately $699 million. SOL ended near $103.41, around 14% above the previous week’s level.

$XRP ETFs recorded $110.49 million in inflows, compared with $39.78 million a week earlier. Positive creations were reported every day, and weekly trading turnover increased to approximately $363 million.

$HYPE posted an even sharper acceleration. Weekly inflows reached $56.86 million, up from $3.89 million in the previous period, after five consecutive positive sessions. Assets ended the week near $439 million.

The sustained daily inflows mark an important development for the altcoin ETF market. Previous weekly gains often relied on one or two strong sessions, but Solana, $XRP and $HYPE funds attracted new capital from Monday through Friday.

Two consecutive weeks of more than $2 billion in combined crypto ETF inflows have placed institutional demand among its strongest stretches of the year. The latest data also indicates that investors are increasingly allocating capital beyond Bitcoin and Ether.

  • Bitwise CEO Offers Crucial XRP Reality Check as Solana Fund Surpasses $1 Billion Threshold

Bitwise CEO Offers Crucial XRP Reality Check as Solana Fund Surpasses $1 Billion Threshold

The $XRP ETF market is expanding steadily, but no individual fund has yet joined the billion-dollar tier of crypto ETFs. The debate over the sector’s size intensified after Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) reached $1 billion in assets under management (AUM) 10 months after launching.

BSOL’s growth has been driven in part by its built-in annual yield of approximately 5.8%, generated through staking within the regulated ETF structure.

Commenting on the milestone on X, Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said that only Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs had crossed the $1 billion mark. After one commenter suggested the statistic was biased against $XRP, Horsley replied: “I’m not! There’s no $1B $XRP ETF yet!”

    — Hunter Horsley (@HHorsley) August 30, 2026

Why Solana ETFs have grown faster than $XRP ETFs

Horsley’s comment highlights a key technological difference between Solana and the $XRP Ledger. Unlike Solana, the $XRP Ledger does not have native staking. All $XRP tokens were issued upfront, and the blockchain cannot create new tokens to distribute as staking rewards.

A possible future alternative for funds is the native XRPL Lending Protocol, which is currently undergoing a validator vote. Until then, $XRP ETFs must rely entirely on demand for spot exposure.

Investor demand remains strong. According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot $XRP ETFs have accumulated $1.44 billion in net assets, while cumulative inflows have reached $1.66 billion. By total capital, the $XRP ETF sector is already operating at a level comparable to leading crypto ETF markets.

However, the lack of yield means that no individual $XRP fund has reached $1 billion in assets.

Bitwise’s $XRP ETF currently leads the segment, controlling 44% of the market with $632.03 million in assets. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ follows with $411.39 million, while Canary’s WAXRP holds $234.36 million. The remaining market share is divided between products from 21Shares and Grayscale.

Recent Form 13F filings have confirmed growing participation by U.S. institutional investors in crypto ETFs. Based on its current assets, Bitwise’s standalone $XRP fund needs approximately $368 million in additional net assets to reach the $1 billion threshold.

Solana’s performance suggests that pure spot exposure may grow more slowly than products supported by staking income. Whether an $XRP ETF can cross the billion-dollar mark will therefore depend entirely on sustained demand from long-term investors.

BlackRock Secures Over $3.1 Billion in Cryptocurrency Inflows in 8 Days

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have spearheaded a broad cryptocurrency market recovery over the past two weeks, prompting a massive accumulation spree by BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK). The asset management giant acquired more than $3.1 billion in crypto assets across eight consecutive trading sessions, according to on-chain data analyzed by Finbold on August 28.

BlackRock’s Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Lead $3.16 Billion Buying Spree

Data from Arkham Intelligence reveals that BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) purchased a total of 22,722 BTC, valued at approximately $2.2 billion, during the eight-day window. Simultaneously, the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) accumulated 385,633 ETH, worth roughly $961 million. Combined, the purchases total approximately $3.161 billion. Both funds received the assets from Coinbase Prime, the institutional prime brokerage platform operated by Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN).

Record Inflows Swell IBIT Holdings to $62.3 Billion

The buying pressure aligns with historic cash inflows into BlackRock’s Bitcoin vehicle. Metrics from SoSoValue show IBIT recorded nine consecutive days of net inflows totaling $2.302 billion between August 17 and August 27. Consequently, IBIT’s total Bitcoin holdings surged to $62.29 billion at the time of reporting.

    Ethereum Products See Sustained Momentum

BlackRock’s Ethereum exposure is also expanding rapidly. The iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) has attracted $130.54 million in net inflows over the past two months, lifting its total net assets to $872 million. Since inception, ETHB has experienced only a single month of outflows—$10.06 million in June.
