Meteorologist Cecily Tynan is preparing to retire after decades at Action News, prompting people across the region to wish her well.
Visit Philadelphia has joined the tributes with billboards that will remain visible through September 7. They read: “Thanks for bringing the sunshine even when the forecast didn’t. Happy retirement, Cecily!”

The billboards may be visible along I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Tynan’s final day at Action News will be Monday, August 31.
