Chipotle Will Give Away Free Entrées Every Time Taylor Fritz Wins at the U.S. Open—Here’s How to Claim Yours

Chipotle and top-ranked U.S. men’s tennis player Taylor Fritz are teaming up for “Every Win Tastes Better,” a U.S. Open promotion that gives fans access to buy-one-get-one (BOGO) entrée codes after every Fritz singles victory.

As Fritz pursues the chance to become the first American in 23 years to win the men’s singles title at New York’s premier tennis tournament, Chipotle is turning each match win into a free-food giveaway for fans.

How to claim the Chipotle BOGO giveaway

After each Fritz victory, he will share a unique text-to-win code on his Instagram Story at @taylor_fritz. Fans must text the code to 888-222. Those who respond quickly enough will receive a BOGO entrée offer redeemable through the Chipotle app or Chipotle’s website.

The number of available codes increases as Fritz advances:

    • Round 1: 2,500 BOGO offers
    • Round 2: 3,000 BOGO offers
    • Round 3: 3,500 BOGO offers
    • Round of 16: 4,000 BOGO offers
    • Quarter-final: 4,500 BOGO offers
    • Semi-final: 5,000 BOGO offers
    • Final: 10,000 BOGO offers

The promotion ends when all codes for a particular round have been claimed or when that round’s offer period ends, whichever comes first. It is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who are at least 13 years old. Each person may claim one code per round that Fritz advances. Chipotle will notify winners by text, and standard text and data rates apply.

Fritz has been a Team Chipotle athlete for three seasons. He wears the brand’s logo on his sleeve during tournaments and has a Chipotle Celebrity Card that gives him free food for life. Earlier this month, he also said he ate Chipotle on every off day and before every night match during his title run in Washington, D.C.

“Anyone who follows me knows I eat a lot of Chipotle when I’m playing tournaments,” Fritz said. “I love that every time I win a singles match in New York, fans have another chance to score a BOGO. I’m trying to make them give away as much as possible.”

Because the codes are expected to be claimed quickly, fans will want to follow @taylor_fritz throughout the tournament for each new giveaway.

  • Liam Payne’s Cousin Reveals Devastating Detail Weeks After Final CCTV Footage Released

Liam Payne’s Cousin Reveals Devastating Detail Weeks After Final CCTV Footage Released

Liam Payne’s cousin, Ross Harris, has opened up about the former One Direction star’s final days in a new interview with ITV, revealing he missed a call from the singer on the day he died and reflecting on the emotional toll of fame.

    Missed Call and Lasting Regret

Payne, 31, died on 16 October 2024 after falling 46 feet from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A toxicology report later confirmed the presence of cocaine, alcohol, and the sedative Klonopin in his system. The cause of death was ruled as polytrauma.

Harris, who taught Payne to play piano as a child, told ITV his phone was face down during a recording session when the singer tried to reach him. “I think my phone must have been face down and we were recording, and yeah, just completely missed it,” he said. “And then I think I probably saw it maybe an hour or two later… then I tried to call, but I think he was already gone by that point.”

Looking back, Harris described the weight of hindsight. “Hindsight’s a beautiful, awful thing where if I could go back, I would change absolutely everything.”

    ‘He Didn’t Feel Very Loved’

Beyond the missed call, Harris painted a picture of a man who struggled with the disconnect between public adoration and private isolation. “He didn’t feel very loved,” Harris said, adding that while “fans loved Liam Payne,” the singer “needed someone to love Liam.”

Harris emphasized that despite being in his thirties, Payne never had the chance to mature outside the spotlight. “Even though he was in his thirties, he was still basically a kid in this industry because he didn’t have a chance to grow up like a normal person would outside of the fame system.” He continued: “I think in entertainment the cost is much higher because someone’s image and their health is on the line in a public facing way where a mistake has a much higher cost.”

    Final Hours Captured on CCTV

Police-released CCTV from earlier this month showed Payne in the hotel lobby with two women, identified as Ildana Serrano and Lucila Goite, both of whom later claimed to have had sex with him. Footage also captured him wandering corridors, swinging from a lamppost, and staff delivering buckets of champagne and whiskey to his room. Receipts indicate Payne spent more than $600,000 on whisky during his stay.

    Ongoing Legal Proceedings

WhatsApp messages from hotel staff dated 14 October, previously published by the Mail on Sunday, reveal concerns about managing Payne’s behavior. Authorities had been called to the hotel before his death over welfare concerns.

Two hotel employees — Ezequiel Pereyra, 22, and waiter Braian Paiz, 26 — were arrested and charged with supplying drugs to the singer. Both have been released on bail and deny all charges. Legal sources indicate plea deal negotiations are ongoing.

    Musical Tribute

Harris has released a song titled Bones in tribute to his cousin. Proceeds from the track will support causes close to Payne’s heart.

    15. Death of the Pastor’s Wife

John-Paul Miller and his wife, Mica Miller, appeared to have a happy marriage. Before Mica was found dead in a state park in April 2024, however, she had told family and friends about alleged manipulation, abuse, and stalking by her husband.

Across three episodes, Death of the Pastor’s Wife examines the breakdown of the Millers’ marriage through interviews with Mica’s surviving friends and siblings. The filmmakers were unable to interview John-Paul or his new wife, whom he married a year after Mica’s body was discovered. However, video-recorded sermons offer insight into his views on love, marriage, and a wife’s duties. The result is a chilling documentary that does not offer an easy or satisfying conclusion.

How to watch: Death of the Pastor’s Wife is now streaming on Netflix.

    14. Penny Lane Is Dead

Australian writer-director Mia’kate Russell draws on the ’80s Ozploitation films that helped put Australian horror cinema on the map in Penny Lane Is Dead. The film begins with “school’s out” teen fun and overt Australiana before taking a dark, ultraviolent turn. Viewers should be aware that it includes rape-revenge genre themes.

After finishing high school, Penny (Bailey Spalding), Toni (Tahlee Fereday), and Amy (Alexandra Jensen) plan a girls’ night to celebrate. Penny’s scheming cousin Kat (Sophia Wright-Mendelsohn) crashes the party with her criminal adult boyfriend and his criminal friends, sending the celebration in a dangerous direction. The film fully embraces its exploitation roots, leaving audiences to decide how that approach lands in 2026.

How to watch: Penny Lane Is Dead premieres Aug. 28 on Shudder.

  • Astrologer Aliza Kelly Explains Lunar Eclipse Impact on Every Zodiac Sign

Astrologer Aliza Kelly Explains Lunar Eclipse Impact on Every Zodiac Sign

Taylor Swift lyrics collided with celestial mechanics this week as skywatchers prepared for a lunar spectacle. “Cause, baby, now we got bad blood,” the pop anthem declares, but from the evening of Aug. 27 until the next day’s early hours, the reference took on astronomical significance. “Us, to the moon at the moment,” because we’re going to experience the dark side of the moon due to a lunar eclipse event.

Lunar Eclipse Creates ‘Bad Blood’ Moon

The cosmic alignment promises to deliver a striking visual display as Earth’s shadow falls across the lunar surface. During this period, the moon will pass through Earth’s umbra—the darkest part of our planet’s shadow—creating the phenomenon often dramatically described as a “blood moon” due to the reddish hue the lunar surface takes on.

The timing favors observers across multiple time zones, with the eclipse beginning in the evening hours of August 27 and continuing into the early morning of August 28. This extended window provides ample opportunity for both casual observers and dedicated astronomers to witness the transformation.

    Viewing Conditions and Timing

Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to observe with the naked eye and require no special equipment. Binoculars or a small telescope can enhance the view, revealing details of the shadow’s progression across lunar features like craters and maria.

The event’s duration—spanning evening into early morning—means viewers can watch at their convenience rather than racing to catch a few minutes of totality. Weather permitting, the eclipse will be visible across a wide geographic region.

    What is Connections: Sports Edition?

Completing a category removes its four words from the board, while an incorrect guess counts as a mistake. Players can make up to four mistakes before the game ends.

Wordle Today: Hints and Answer for August 27, 2026

Today’s Wordle answer is a five-letter word that should be easy to solve if you work in production. If you want to see the solution immediately, scroll to the bottom. Otherwise, use the clues and strategy tips below to solve it yourself.

    Where did Wordle come from?

Engineer Josh Wardle originally created Wordle as a gift for his partner. The game quickly became an international phenomenon, with thousands of people playing every day.

Fans created alternative versions, including the battle royale game Squabble, the music-identification game Heardle, and variations such as Dordle and Quordle, which require players to guess multiple words at once.

Wordle became so popular that The New York Times purchased it. TikTok creators have also livestreamed themselves playing the game.

What’s the best Wordle starting word?

The best Wordle starting word is one that works for you. If you prefer a strategic approach, choose a word with at least two different vowels and several common consonants, such as S, T, R, or N. This can help you identify the answer more quickly.

What happened to the Wordle archive?

The complete archive of past Wordle puzzles was originally available for anyone to play. It was later removed after the website’s creator said the move was made at the request of The New York Times.

The New York Times subsequently introduced its own Wordle Archive, which is available only to NYT Games subscribers.

    Is Wordle getting harder?

Wordle may feel more difficult, but the game is not actually harder than it was when it launched. Players looking for an extra challenge can turn on Wordle’s Hard Mode.

For today’s puzzle, here’s a subtle hint: Unedited.

Does today’s Wordle answer have a double letter?

  • NYT Pips Hints and Answers for August 27, 2026

NYT Pips Hints and Answers for August 27, 2026

Pips is the latest game in The New York Times catalog. Released in August 2025, the puzzle puts a distinctive spin on dominoes, offering a single-player experience that could become part of your daily gaming routine.

If you get stuck, Pips currently reveals the entire puzzle rather than offering individual hints. These step-by-step answers provide a way to work through each difficulty level without skipping ahead.

    How to play Pips

If you have played dominoes, you will already recognize some of Pips’ basic mechanics. Domino-style tiles are placed vertically or horizontally and connect with one another. However, unlike traditional dominoes, Pips uses color-coded spaces with specific conditions. Connected tiles do not necessarily need to match.

The required conditions depend on the color-coded space. When a space shows a number, for example, the relevant tile portions must add up to that number. In some cases, only half of a domino will occupy a color-coded space.

    • Number: All the pips in the space must add up to the displayed number.
    • Equal: Every domino half in the space must contain the same number of pips.
    • Not Equal: Every domino half in the space must contain a different number of pips.
    • Less than: Every domino half in the space must add up to less than the displayed number.
    • Greater than: Every domino half in the space must add up to more than the displayed number.

Uncolored spaces have no conditions for the portions of dominoes placed within them.

Easy Pips hints and answers for August 27, 2026

    • Number (4): Everything in this space must add up to 4. The answer is 1-4, placed horizontally.

Hurdle Hints and Answers for August 27, 2026

If you enjoy daily word games such as Wordle, Hurdle is another puzzle worth adding to your routine. The game features five rounds, with each hurdle offering clues through correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters.

In the first round, players try to guess the word. Solving each hurdle unlocks the next one, with the answer from the previous round becoming the first guess in the following round. Depending on the words, that can provide several clues—or none at all.

For the final hurdle, all the correct answers from the earlier rounds are displayed, along with their correct and misplaced letters. Keep in mind that the number of times a letter is highlighted in previous guesses does not necessarily indicate how many times that letter appears in the final answer.
